WHEN: Friday, March 15th 2019, 6-10 PM; dinner will be served from 6-8:30 PM

WHERE: Tryon Palace History Center & patio

WHAT: Enjoy a traditional Irish dinner with live music during dinner, followed by the rockin' TrainWreck band.

Cash bar of beer, wine and soft drinks…nothing over $5.

Tickets are $20 in advance, $25 at the door

Gather your family and friends, get your green on, and join us for The Rotary Club of New Bern’s Sham-Rockin’ 2019, A St. Patrick’s Celebration, Friday, March 15th! The event will be held at the beautiful North Carolina History Center, overlooking the Trent River.

Doors open at 6:00 pm and the Sham-Rockin’ will continue until 10:00 pm. The Chelsea Restaurant will serve up the best corned beef and cabbage found in Eastern North Carolina from 6:00 – 8:30 pm. Coastal Beverage, as our beverage sponsor will offer your favorite beer and wine.

During dinner, Tom & Dahlin’ of Tom’s Tunes will play and sing Irish & Celtic songs.

After dinner, dance the night away to the popular band, Trainwreck!

Tickets include dinner and admission and are $20 in advance (plus associated EventBrite fees when purchased on line) and $25 at the door. There will be a cash bar of beer, wine and soda and popcorn available all night.

Sham-Rockin’ is the club’s annual fundraiser to support local needs. Past proceeds have assisted with supporting Boys and Girls Club of New Bern, Backpack Blessings, and Craven County Partners In Education and Promise Place.


Refund policy: Tickets purchased through Eventbrite are $20 each (plus applicable fees) and are non-refundable. If the event is cancelled, or you cannot attend, refunds will not be given. Proceeds will be used to benefit Rotary projects and programs in our community.

The Rotary Club of New Bern is a civic organization that supports the local community through grants to area non-profits as well as organizes community service projects. The Rotary Club of New Bern is a part of Rotary International, which undertakes many humanitarian efforts throughout the world.
