About Shakespeare on Tap, presented by Seven Stages Shakespeare Company

With professional actors seated on stage, scripts on music stands, and minimal sound and lighting design elements, this series offers you the chance to come hear new and/or contemporary plays inspired by Shakespeare as you enjoy dinner and drinks.

About A Shakespeare Carol by D. Beaulieu

In 1606 Shakespeare wrote perhaps his most evil play, Macbeth; In 1607 he wrote Pericles and began the path of writing Romances- where Magic is used for good, forgiveness abounds, and Hope prevails. He started down the road that led him home to Stratford and his estranged family. What could have happened to change a playwright’s perspective so profoundly and immediately?

Is it possible that Will, a recusant Catholic in James’ England, was visited by the Ghost of his dead friend Marlowe on Christmas Eve, and brought by other spirits through his past, present, and future so that he could amend his ways before it was too late?

It’s Shakespeare, like you’ve never seen him (but often seen Dickens) before.
