7th Annual Shakespeare in the Pines: The Merry Wives of Winslow

About this Event

The Highlands Center for Natural History and Laark Productions present the 7th Annual Shakespeare in the Pines

The Merry Wives of Winslow

Friday, August 28th and Saturday, August 29th, with a special matinee performance on Sunday, August 30th.

Friday's performance is SOLD-OUT

Interview with cast member Brad Newman

We are making several adaptations to our traditional program to allow for a safer, more intimate experience. The attendance at each performance will be limited to assist with social distancing.  The incredible meal from El Gato Azul will be turned from a buffet into a delicious boxed picnic. Guests will be invited to dine on small tables scattered throughout the entirety of the Jame Family Discovery Gardens, to provide for an intimate dining experience within the beauty of nature. The Merry Wives of Windsor will still take place in the Kiwanis Amphitheater to a smaller audience than in the past.  More details will be forthcoming as we make sure that "the show goes on," and our guests are treated to a safe, entertaining and memorable performance of The Merry Wives of Windsor.

A Message from The Highlands Center for Natural History:

While we continue to monitor the local health situation, we are currently in production as planned for our August 27, 28 and 29 performances.

We have taken many precautions to make the event as safe as possible, including reducing our attendance, converting to a boxed meal and spreading out the reception throughout the James Family Discover Gardens.

We have decided to require that all guests wear face coverings during the performance in the Kiwanis Amphitheater. This requirement is done to protect you and others coming to the performance. If you forget to bring a face covering, we will provide one for you. Those not wearing a face covering/mask will be asked to leave the performance.

Even with all these steps we cannot guarantee a completely virus free environment.

Thank you for your support during these difficult times. We hope we can bring the arts back to HCNH in August!
