Event description

Description

Join us for a 90-minute private tour at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art focusing on the architecture of the newly expanded SFMOMA site whose original building was designed by Swiss architect Mario Botta, as well as the current exhibition of “Paul Klee at Play”. We will first learn about the original Botta building and then explore the Snøhetta-designed expansion of the new SFMOMA building. Our tour will also include a visit to the special exhibition “Paul Klee at Play”, which highlights the Swiss modernist’s lifelong exploration of the creative and transformative possibilities of play. This exhibition includes a selection of the whimsical hand puppets Klee made for his son, Felix, fashioned from scraps of cloth, papier-mâché, and found objects.

The tour will also include unique views of San Francisco from the multiple terraces of the museum.

Space is limited. Please purchase your ticket today. This event is sponsored by the Swiss Cultural Committee of the United Swiss Societies of Northern California.
