SFAI GRADUATE LECTURE: ANTHONY AZIZ + SAMMY CUCHER
Poetics and Paradox
Aziz + Cucher are recognized as pioneers in the field of post-photography and digital imaging. They have worked as a collaborative team since meeting as graduate students at SFAI in 1990. Most recently, their video, photography, performance, and animation works have addressed their personal relationship to the ongoing conflicts in the Middle East. Their work has been widely exhibited internationally, and their monograph, Aziz + Cucher: Some People, was published in 2012 by the Indianapolis Museum of Art in conjunction with Hatje Cantz, Germany.
Aziz + Cucher are guest faculty and artists in residency in SFAI’s Low-Residency Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Studio Art program.
