Designing your own website as an artist can be easy - but don't make the mistakes that most do. It isn't enough to just make it look pretty... it has to function and be functional. In this day and age it is important to have a site that is dynamic, useful, and easy to use.
In this course, you will be creating an actual website for yourself. This class is open to artists, musicians, writers, and galleries. We will discuss our over 10 years of research while traveling and representing artists, booking musicians, and the discussions that we have noted with consumers, artists, gallerists, museum directors, venue management, etc.
Students entering this class will require a laptop with wireless internet capabilities. If you do not have a laptop we can let you know where you may rent one during the length of the class.
Class projects will include information on or relating to creating your navigation structure, creating an online portfolio(s), newsfeeds and social media/blogging, branding and marketing (from the ground up).
