Transgender Day of Remembrance 2018 #EnoughIsEnough
The Transgender Day of Remembrance (TDoR), also known as the International Transgender Day of Remembrance, is observed annually on November 20 as a day to memorialize those who have been murdered as a result of transphobia and to draw attention to the continued violence endured by the transgender community.
The City of San Francisco and trans organizations and individuals has come together to commemorate this somber yet important day to remind everyone that trans and GNC folks are target for violence, stigma and discrimination and can fatal results. Commemorating this day serves as one of the foundations to bring equality to the forefront around transgender visibility and its legacy as a community.
There will be a march from City Hall at 5:30pm leading towards the venue where a program has been prepared.
5:30pm- 6:00pm/ March from City Hall to UC Hastings
6:00pm- 8:00pm/TDOR program at UC Hastings
8:00pm-9:00pm/ Short reception with light refreshments
