Event description

Description

Please join us for an evening team science event to encourage cross-institutional collaboration between the University of California San Francisco and San Francisco State University. For this second of our new ‘In the Mix’ series, developed to foster faculty interaction between UCSF and SFSU and support a research collaboration pipeline between the two institutions, the theme is ‘Broader Impacts’.

We will welcome Drs. Wallace Marshall, Mark Chan, and Frank Bayliss from the cross-institutional Center for Cellular Construction, an NSF Science and Technology Center, to speak about the Center’s outreach efforts and broader impacts. This Center, whose mission is to turn cell biology into an engineering discipline by learning how to engineer the physical structure and interactions of living cells, represents one of several successful collaborations between UCSF and SFSU.

Agenda
5:00pm Gretchen Kiser. Welcome, context, goals, and theme
5:10pm Talk by Drs. Wallace Marshall, Mark Chan, & Frank Bayliss
6:00pm Networking reception, light refreshments provided
