About this event
Join SF Design Week for Homebody, the immersive art installation by internationally acclaimed artist, Hueman. Spanning over 20,000 square feet, Homebody invites you to go within each installation and engage with the large-scale breathtaking artwork. With projection mapping and augmented reality, join the conversation about where art is headed as technology rapidly evolves.
Ticket includes access to the immersive art exhibit, a live DJ, networking with SF Design Week community, and happy hour drinks.
As society excitedly returns to normal, we reflect on our collective experience in isolation. The past year and a half has affected the way we look at ourselves and each other; we have been existing together, apart. Hueman encourages visitors to look inward as Homebody explores identity in the context of an unprecedented moment in time: What happens when we are all forced to stay at home and face ourselves?
ENGAGE WITH TECHNOLOGY
Various installations will be enhanced through the Instagram app on your device. Please come charged and ready to engage! Phones and tablets are both welcome.

ABOUT HUEMAN
Allison “Hueman” Torneros is a multidisciplinary Filipina-American artist based in Oakland, CA. Her distinctly gauzy art style is what she likes to call “etherealism”, a blend of ethereal realism. Whether she is creating delicate visions on canvas, or crushing massive walls with a spray can, she often draws on the human condition to create colorful mash-ups of the abstract and figurative.
Hueman’s unique freestyle process involves creating tightly refined compositions from a spontaneous beginning of paint splashes, drips, and sprays, and her layered works can be seen on public streets and in galleries worldwide.
She balances her time between gallery exhibitions and public mural work while also collaborating with some of the world’s top brands that include Adobe, Lyft, Nike, Forever 21, Google, L’Oreal, Sony Music, Golden State Warriors and many more. Her work has found homes in the collections of Stephen Curry, Ava Duvernay, Usher, P!nk, and Swizz Beats.
