Event description

Description

You are invited to participate in a unique opportunity to help restore Tidal Marsh, a very important part of conserving our South Bay wildlife and protecting infrastructure from sea level rise. You will be adding plants in the transition zone between marsh and uplands. The plants and all tools are provided.

San Francisco Bay Bird Observatory has been performing these restorations at other locations around San Francisco Bay. For almost 40 years, SFBBO has conserved birds and their habitats through science and outreach. Since 2011, they have worked to restore tidal marsh habitats around the Bay to help these vital ecosystems adapt to sea level rise.

Since this event is during migration, you will be able to see a large variety of birds.

Co-hosted by Keep Coyote Creek Beautiful and San Francsico Bay Bird Observatory

Co-sponsored by SJSU Center for Community Learning and Leadership and CommUniverCity
