Event description

Description

Are you young and interested in building an environmental career working in science, administration, hands-on stewardship, or education? Then this is for you! Network, share your experience and think about what path you will take toward a career you love. The event is outdoors and will be a fun combination of hands-on science, habitat restoration, conversations, and Q & A with youth speakers.

Come expand your professional network of young people in careers that care for and protect the natural world. Youth starting out at California Academy of Sciences, Golden Gate National Recreation Area, Literacy for Environmental Justice, Nature in the City, Presidio Trust, SF Department of the Environment, and SF State University will be there to tell you all about their internships/jobs at these agencies.

IMPORTANT: Please bring a bag lunch with you, and if you can, bring food to share with others! We will provide snacks and water to refill water bottles.

RSVP NOW to enter a raffle with prizes like hand-lenses, reference books, science equipment, and more! Raffle winners announced at 2 pm.

Hosted by Nature in the City, Literacy for Environmental Justice, and San Francisco State University, this event is generously made possible by an Every Day Event Grant from the National Environmental Education Foundation (NEEF), with major funding support from Toyota Motor North America.
