SF Babel: San Francisco's International Language Exchange
Weekly Event - Every Tuesday: 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM (PST)
San Francisco, California
We try to provide a fun, friendly, relaxed group where you can practice speaking a new language and meet people from all over the world!
Our gathering takes place in a bar environment, so there is usually music playing and we hope to have a lot of people so it will be busy and bustling. This is obviously still a fairly new meet up, so invite lots of friends and just come hang out and practice another language!
All SF Babel Members get discounted draft beer! All you have to do is present your name tag (which you will receive at the event)
HOW IT WORKS
The idea of the group is that you give help to the group (helping those who are learning your native language) and you get help from the group (you are helped by others who speak the language you want to practice). This way everyone benefits!
We typically have native speakers of French, Spanish, English, Portuguese, Korean, Japanese, German, Polish, Italian, Dutch, Turkish, Mandarin, Russian, Armenian, Arabic and many other languages.
When you arrive, just introduce yourself to Marcus and Matt and they will introduce you to others who speak the language you want to practice to get you started. It's fun and FREE!
INVITE YOUR FRIENDS WHO ARE LOOKING TO PRACTICE A LANGUAGE AND IT WILL BE SUPER FUN.
HOW LONG IT LASTS
We get started at 7:00 pm and the group is usually there until at least 10pm, but you can arrive and leave at whatever time you like.

We created SF Babel to fill a void that was missing in the language learning community of San Francisco. SF Babel strives to be a welcoming community of foreignors and locals alike connecting on a common bond of love of travel and language.
Running SF Babel since May, we are excited to see our membership grow with each passing week. As organizers, we've been fortunate enough to make incredible friends through hosting SF Babel and look forward to making many more.
