12:30 - 1:15pm Keynote Presentation on “A Systems Theory Approach to Threat Assessments” by Monika Stoeffl

Every organization is comprised of systems that interact with both internal and external environments. When two or more systems connect, the results can bring either beneficial opportunities or “black swan” events. Projects, small to multi-million dollar, have been halted in their tracks because of overlooked system interaction - often with devastating effects. Using case studies, this presentation illustrates the application of systems theory to hazard and threat assessments.

1:15 - 1:30pm Networking Break

1:30 - 2:25pm Roundtable Discussion on A Systems Theory Approach to Threat Assessments
