Event description

Description

Homophobia, transphobia and stigma negatively impact the health and well-being of gay, bisexual and transgender individuals by limiting their access to healthcare services. The consequences of none or limited healthcare services can be devastating (poor physical and mental health, increase chances of risky sexual behavior, etc.). The session will discuss how to address this issue in health care settings, work place, family, communities of faith.

This year's NYC Latino Health Action Day (LHAD) will present two panels:
- Panel with consumers/direct non-medical service providers
- Panel with clinical service providers.
