About this Event

Setting The Table is a monthly gathering to learn, converse, and break bread around an important issue — presented by Bridgeliner and WeWork.

Our first discussion topic: How Portland Can Stay Portland As It Grows

Portland is growing as a city, and no amount of shade toward California transplants is going to change that. So what happens next? And how can we make sure Portland keeps its best qualities — and maintains and improves its affordability — as more people move in?

6:00 p.m. - Doors open

6:30 p.m. - Panel discussion with Kimberly Branam, executive director of Prosper Portland; Tiara Darnell, freelance journalist and podcaster; Chris Franklin, founder of Lost'N Portland; and Ashley Henry, executive director of Business for a Better Portland.

7:30 p.m. - Dinner conversation

8:30 p.m. - Dessert

We want to thank our partner WeWork for providing the space, meal, and drinks, and to CTL and LPC West for sponsoring our series on what Portland can learn from the Bay Area about managing growth.

10% of each event’s capacity will be set aside for those who are not able to afford the cost of Setting The Table in their budget. Please apply here to become eligible for this month’s community dinner. For those of you who can pay full price, thank you! Your support welcomes more voices into the conversation.

Our number one goal with each of these suppers is connection. So please join us to learn and connect with your neighbors in a warm, welcoming setting.
