Event description

Description

It's Session #3 of Boston's Screaming Ostrich and boy do we have a mix! We tried to include something for everyone and there's no doubt we succeeded. The evening's bill includes:

"Somerville Theater." This amazing little animation was produced by local Will Kostick using nothing more than some Legos and a DSLR!

"Dreams Made Real." Conceived, written, shot, edited, original score, and VFX all accomplished in only 48 hours! This films shows what can be accomplished under a little pressure and an amazingly coordinated team. Can George find his way back home after his Fantasy may have crossed the line? Beware the Red Egg! Directed by: Ned Scannell

"Social Media Madness." From New York, a man enlists the help of a specialist to boost his Social Media popularity.

"Lars & the Fuzzbox show." PeeWee Herman meets Wayne's World!

"Reformation." A celestrial event, a cult and a girl stuck inside of a living nightmare! This one was slated for our opening night halloween screening but it was just too long.

"Sur'vi." LARPing heaven! A woman comes across a young orphaned girl and must take her to safety while battling marauders.

"Colour me free." A cross-over between animation and computer game graphics makes an ironic reference to the repeated game-play of senseless war.

"The Science of Behavior." An introduction and overview of cultural & environmental conditions that are untenable for a sustainable world civilization. Agree with them or not, they make a compelling case for experimentation.

"Higher Space." A real check-your-brains-at-the-door web production where a couple of potty mouthed puppets evade police to make it to a drug soaked party. Not recommended for children.

"The Ignition of Caveman Dave." To quote the film maker exactly: "I wanted to make a really dumb movie, with dinosaurs and people. I may have achieved that."

PLEASE NOTE: All programs are subject to change, and the order for screening almost certainly will. If there's a film you must absolutely see, and for some reason it gets moved to another session, we will gladly swap out your tickets. But, every one of our sessions has so much to offer, we can pretty much guarantee that you'll find something to love in all of them!
