Lesson Levels and Descriptions
Level 5 ~ This class is for strong swimmers (8 year olds and up). Swimmers will practice and improve upon front crawl, breaststroke, sidestroke, backstroke and diving. We will build endurance and practice safety skills. ($70 members, $120 non-members).
Level 4 ~ This class is designed for elementary age youth (6, 7 and 8 year olds) who are still learning the basics of swim strokes, but are comfortable in the deep end (the majority of the class will take place where the kids can’t touch). The kids will work on freestyle (and breathing), backstroke, floating, treading water and diving. ($70 members, $120 non-members)
Level 3 ~ This class is for kiddos (5, 6 and 7 year olds) who are swimming and floating on their own. We practice front crawl and backstroke, learn to tread water and begin learning to dive. ($70 members, $120 non- members)
Level 2 ~ This class is for youngsters (4 and 5 year olds) who are comfortable holding their breath and putting their faces in the water, but don’t know how to swim. The kiddos will learn to swim on their front, float on their back, strong kicks and popping up to breathe. ($70 members, $120 non-members)
Level 1 ~ This class is designed for the young swimmers (3 and 4 year olds) who have not had much water experience. We play lots of games, learn to float, blow bubbles and go under water. We will begin to learn how to swim on our front and back, but mainly get comfortable being in the water. ($70 members, $120 non- members)
