Event description

Description

As consultants, we have the pleasure and privilege of serving a diverse range of community organizations. Reflecting 501 Commons’ value of inclusion, we are expected to approach our assignments with openness, collaboration, flexibility, and respect for the client’s mission and culture. The diversity in perspectives and backgrounds inherent in assignments can impact the experience and effectiveness of a consultant.

Please join service corps members, Yvonne Freitas McGookin and Brenetta Ward, for an interactive workshop that will increase our awareness of unconscious bias and how it impacts our work with clients. We’ll share experiences and identify strategies we can use to minimize bias and more effectively connect with and serve our constituents.

Light snacks will be provided.
