About this Event

More than half of the Veterans who die by suicide are over 50 years old

Over 42% of NYC Veterans are age 55 and older, and many face challenges in health, memory, independence or loss of loved ones that may lead to distress or isolation.

  • Why Aging Veterans are at greater risk that their civilian counterparts
  • What to listen for in order to assess their mental health, and
  • How to engage and refer Aging Veterans in ned to an appropriate behavioral health partner.

We'll also clear up some myths and misunderstandings about services available to Aging Veterans. And there will be time for Q&A.
