Learn about online tools you can use to craft a professional presence and network on the web, while protecting your reputation and privacy. The deep web, also known as the invisible web, consists of content that you won't find through general internet searching. Search engines have difficulty indexing certain kinds of web pages (i.e., PDFs and dynamically-created pages), but there are tools to help you find this "hidden" information. This workshop will introduce you to searchable databases and explain why some pages are "invisible" to search engines. This session will meet in library training room 204. Light refreshments will be served.
