Two day event

Day one Symposium - St Paul's Church - 28th September 2017 10am (please arrive by 9.30am for a 10am start) to 5pm

Making radical performance with the body. For Circus, Physical Theatre and Dance practitioners who are interested in live performance that not only deals with serious issues, but aspires to activism. For artists, performers, directors, producers, funders and others to come together and discuss practice, approaches, opportunities and challenges. To share experience of maintaining integrity and develop a community of support and interest for moving forwards.

Speakers and informal performances, discussion and a seminar on Sustainable Circus, leading to mutual and supportive action planning. Guests will be announced leading up to the event.

A one day workshop for physical performers, looking at devising from research and with activism as the aim. The workshop will be energetic, skills based, using improvisation, exercises, discussion and text to stimulate and empower radical thinking in Circus and other forms of physical performance.
