Event description

Description

If 60 is the new 40, and 40 is the new 20, when do we finally grow up?

Approaching a significant birthday, Alison Kimber throws caution to the winds and returns to the cabaret stage with a brand-new one-woman show “Sequins, Songs and the Power of the 60s”.

Combining juke box hits of the 60s with more ‘modern’ tunes, Alison’s original show reveals how a little girl was fascinated by 1960s divas like Dusty and thought growing up would be all sequins and big hair.

But life is what happens while we are making other plans!

With her trademark warmth, wit and love of a good tune, Alison reflects on the passing of one era and the beginning of another.

Accompanied by Emma Knights (keys) and Ethan Goodfellow (percussion).

Others have said:

“(Alison’s) deadpan wit was the star of the performance” (The Jig)

“A very funny show from a very funny lady” (Helga Handful)
