Description

You're invited to celebrate our Fall Fashion September issue in partnership with Moreau Paris.

History and Savoir-Faire of Moreau-Paris:

1882 marks the beginning of Moreau when the French House was established at 283 rue Saint Honoré, in Paris. At the time, Moreau specialized in leather and luxury luggage goods and decided to create a leather and canvas travel suitcase with an iconic print inspired by the natural patterns of wicker suitcases. In 2011, the House of Rovnoff launched a new collection under the name of Moreau Paris, bringing the symbolic brand back to life: Fedor Georges Savchenko, the new Artistic Director, recreated its universe with unrivaled bag products.

The Moreau print originates from the pattern that was used on travel luggage and suitcases, inspired by the minimalistic effect of the interlaces of a wicker basket, which was displayed on the original Diligence suitcases of the brand. This unique print was reproduced on calfskin with a traditional screen print technique that uses a semi-manual application of painting, thus allowing a deeper print result. After the print is layed on, the skins are treated in order for the Moreau leather product to be extremely resistant and to develop over time with a patina that is unique to the brand. This natural calfskin can easily tolerate printing and can be customized with embossed initials, crowns or color stripes. With regard to both the manufacturing and the skins used, Moreau Paris vouches for an unparalleled French craft. Made in France, those bags can be passed down from one generation to the next as pieces of the French tradition and culture.
