The Powerful Link between Your Clients’ Social Network and Divorce Resilience

Speaker: Elise Pettus, Founder of UNtied LLC

In Elise’s presentation, you will gain the following:

  • Learn how you can help your divorcing clients get the most out of working with you by meeting others in similar circumstances.
  • Find out how learning in a social context can exponentially increase comprehension and retention when it comes to education about finances, family law and more.
  • Hear some remarkable stories about how a network of the divorced and divorcing women provide each other with hope, strength, clarity and renewed self-confidence.
  • Get tips on creating a network where your clients share about YOU.

UNtied is a unique online and real-life network for learning and support tailored to women navigating divorce and life afterward.

With a membership of over 2,500 women in the tri-state area and beyond, UNtied hosts panels and webinars that bring women together to learn from, and connect with top professionals in all fields related to divorce and life reinvention. UNtied’s unique workshops draw women from around the country – and help them make big shifts in their lives, whether that means processing their grief, gaining clarity on their narratives, or mastering the world of online dating.

About the Speaker

Elise founded UNtied in 2013 after going through her own split and recognizing an enormous need for community and education around the divorce process and life afterward. A graduate of Brown University and Columbia Journalism School, she worked in documentary film and later as a magazine reporter and writer for outlets including New York Magazine, The New York Times, Healthy Living and Gourmet. A perpetual student of all things divorce, the New York Times described her as a “connector, in the Malcolm Gladwell definition of the word.” She is passionate about connecting divorcing women with each other, as well as with the most experienced and competent professionals. The purpose/mission of UNtied, she says,” is to empower women to divorce as wisely and amicably as they can, and build the confidence to create their own new and fulfilling life.”
