The DBIA-Western Pacific Region is hosting a number of Community College Facilities professionals to hear from two of the state’s leading Owner practitioners on Lessons Learned using the Design-Build delivery model. Both Dave Umstot from the San Diego Community College District and Jose Nunez from the San Mateo County Community College District have become proponents of the Design-Build delivery model and have great stories to tell.

The Design-Build Institute of America (DBIA) was founded in 1993 to provide a voice for design-build practitioners, to advocate best practices, to create and disseminate education information, and to furnish advice and support to facility owners and users. Its membership includes design-builders, construction contractors, design professionals, subcontractors, representatives of government agencies, academics and other professionals.
