Dr. and Mrs. Alvin R. Posey Alumni Continuing Education Lecture

Ever since his first day as a dental student, Alvin R. Posey, DDS’65, proved to be an integral part of Creighton University and the School of Dentistry. With his wife, Ruth, by his side, Dr. Posey touched many lives during his 40-year dental practice in Enid, Oklahoma. For 34 years, he served on the School of Dentistry’s Alumni Advisory Board and was team leader for the Institute for Latin American Concern (ILAC) program in the Dominican Republic.

His loyalty and service earned him the school’s 1988 Alumni Merit Award and he is commemorated on the School of Dentistry’s Wall of Honor for his contributions to the practice of dentistry.

The Poseys established an endowment to provide continuing education for School of Dentistry alumni. The Dr. and Mrs. Alvin R. Posey Continuing Education Lecture annually provides state-of-the-art science information to Creighton alumni at the school’s Dental Assembly.
