About this event
During the hours of 10:30am and 3pm on Friday afternoons there will be no music, no flashing or distracting lights and we will have limited entry of 10 guests or 1 collective group. Activities will be available for those who choose to participate and change daily.
September 2nd we may start a little later than expected in the morning due to meetings, so if you get there promptly at 10:30 and we do not answer. Please bear with us, we will be opening the doors as soon as possible.
The exhibit has a lot of touch friendly items, we are a safe space for anyone. This is a stim friendly environment so if you require extra comforts please feel free to be yourself here.
call 312-961-7219 if you require any additional accommodations or would like to block out a time for a group, the main floor is handicap friendly.
Please use the promo code SENSORYKIDS to purchase your kids tickets at 50%off. Sorry i'm bad at the internet! I want to limit each time block to 10 people total.
About the organizer
We are working hard to bring Chicago its first Insect and Taxidermy Museum! We will focus on connecting to the beauty of nature in a non-traditional sense. During these events we will engage all of our senses to foster both excitement and growth. At The Insect Asylum we encourage you to explore, as we do! Once we open our doors we are hoping you will engage with the exhibits and develop a true sense of belonging with nature. Our mission is to allow people to get excited, to learn and to grow. We understand that inspiration takes flight in many forms. Come and get inspired, create, and connect with a beautiful community! Also, please keep in mind The Insect Asylum is a self-funded endeavor. This labor of love will take some time to complete. Any and all funds we raise help us bring more to the community! We want to make our project affordable to everyone, so if you can afford to sponsor entrance for someone else please reach out. If you need to be sponsored to participate, please reach out or visit our website. We want to be able to include everyone. Donations of any kind are always welcome
Hope to see you there,
