Description

Sensitivity to the Human Body Class
(24 clock hours)
Each day is 8:30a-5:30p

Instructor: Kim Green, Founder of Advanced Therapy Institute of Touch (www.advancedtherapyinstitute.net)

In this module students will explore their sensitivity to touch, energetic messages, and receptivity of and to the body’s own special language. Cellular intelligence, micro facial communications, postural identification & exploration of release and emotional/energetic and physical injury patterns will be taught. When students understand how they receive messages from other people they can in turn respond to another person’s verbal, energetic, postural, and somatic cues through intuition, visual structural imbalances and direct communication. This module’s goal is to open up the student’s senses as well as their cognitive skills and allow them to integrate these two dynamic sides of the brain. This class teaches how disease manifests in the body and covers epigenetic theory, chaos theory and adverse effects of trauma on all living organisms. We will also learn through interactive play the theory of the "felt sense. Bodywork techniques taught will focus on how to release clients at a structural/energetic/movement perspective simultaneously, spiral patterns, & felt sense. Strong emphasis is placed on self-care and somatic awareness in the students themselves. Pre-requisites: None

Kim has practiced and studied both professionally & independently with the internal/healing arts of Judo/Shiatsu, Structural Release, Chinese Acupressure, Reiki and Energetic Bodywork. She has decades of study in structure, cranial, lymphatics, Chapmans, fascia, TBI, disease, repetitive syndromes, somatic bodywork, trauma, PTSD, assault, rape and addiction. Through a diversity of trainings and learning from a traditional Judo Master her interest was peaked about eastern practices. Kim began researching ancient bodywork scripts from the orient at the same time she was learning hands-on from her teachers, thus resulting in her own two unique approaches. Integrative Meridian Therapy and Somatic Trauma Release are a result of a lifetime of research, reading, training, facilitation and practice. ATIT is a state licensed occupational trade school and specializes in Integrative Meridian Therapy and Somatic Trauma Release Certification. Additionally, we offer continuing education credits and shorter certification programs in a multitude of different areas of study.
