The holiday season is upons all of us and for many it is the most exciting time of year: bright lights, festive music and boisterous get togethers! But, for children with sensory processing disorder, ASD and any specialneeds, this time of year can be extremely difficult. Futhermore, this time of year brings the obligatory visit to Santa. This vist is virtually impossible and incredibly taxing for the children and their caregivers.
Autism Anchor in conjuction with Hammonassett Crossfit and Randy Fedoruk, owner of Sensation Station (Pediatric Therapy Clinic with occupation, phyiscal, speech therapies, educational and socail skills services in a 1:1 seeting and/or groups) will be hosting our inaugural "Sensitive Santa with Children" Event on Sunday, December 18 frm 9 am - 10:30 am. The environment will be conducive for our special children and Sensation Station will provide sensory friendly activities while they wait to meet Santa.
