Senior Resource Fair for Social Workers
Greenoaks Life Reception Center
5:00 - 7:00 PM
1.5 CEUs for Social Workers (NASW Pending Approval)

This event gives those who serve the elderly population an opportunity to inform local area social workers one-to-one about their services, and social workers earn CEUs while learning how to better serve their patients.

A variety of vendors will be there to share information about their products and services for the elderly. Case Managers are encouraged to attend and visit all the booths and will be eligible for the door prizes, but will not receive continuing education credit.

There may be representatives from the following types of companies:

Home Health Agencies ~ Homemaker & Companion Agencies ~ Hospices
Adult Day Health Care Programs ~ Senior Centers ~ Senior Organizations
Senior Housing Facilities ~ Area Agencies on Aging ~ Senior Health Clinics
Wellness & Fitness Programs ~ Rehabilitation Services ~ Elder Law Attorneys
Mental Health & Counseling Providers ~ Reverse Mortgage Specialists

Attendees are interested in learning what's new in services and products available to their elderly patients. This is your chance to build relationships with established clients, as well as meet with potential new clients and referral sources as you share your expertise and educational materials with them.

  • ALL VENDORS MUST BRING THEIR OWN TABLE (2'x4' or 4'x4') and Tablecloth. Tables are NOT provided, but chairs will be provided.
  • Space is limited. No walk-ins on the day of the event.

  • The vendor fee includes catering. However, you are welcome to have treats at your booth.
  • Set-up begins promptly at 4:30pm, not a minute before! Check-in at the registration table to find out where to put your table.

  • No free-standing or table-top displays. They only get in the way of you speaking to the social workers.

  • Bring collaterals and educational materials to hand out.

  • How it works: Social workers must visit every vendor in order to receive their CEUs. When they come to your table, introduce yourself and your company to them. Take your time, there is no rush. After you have shared your information, write your initials next to your company name on their sign-off sheet.

  • Door Prizes: These are non-promotional gifts worth $20 or more for the attendees to receive after they have visited every vendor booth. Examples would be a gift basket of wine and/or other goodies, a gift card worth $20 or more to a restaurant or store, etc. NOTE: You may put your business card or sticker on the door prize you bring, but a basket full of your company's promotional materials isnot an acceptable door prize.

SCI (Greenoaks) has partnered with the Hospice Foundation of America (HFA), a non-profit educational resource for hospice organizations, to provide funeral education/courses to hospice professionals for 2.0 continuing education units (CEUs).

"Demystifying the Funeral Experience:
