Senior Resource Fair for Social Workers - American Red Cross, Baton Rouge
Wednesday, September 24, 2014 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM (CDT)
San Francisco, California
London, United Kingdom
It's time for the annual Baton Rouge Senior Resource Fair for Social Workers. Hospitals are making it near impossible for marketers to meet with their social workers. Therefore, we created a rare opportunity for those who work in the senior industry to network and educate local area social workers, who can be a great referral source, about their services. The social workers earn free continuing education credits and representatives from the aging industry get to speak with the social workers one-on-one.
INFORMATION FOR SOCIAL WORKERS
UP TO 50 DOOR PRIZES FOR SOCIAL WORKERS!
The Senior Resource Fair is an opportunity for you to "earn as you learn!" A variety of vendors will be on hand to share information with you about their products and services for the elderly. You will have the opportunity to speak one-on-one with them and receive 1.5 FREE CEUs (NASW Approved) in the process. Discharge Planners and Case Managers are welcome to attend also, but do not receive credit. There may be representatives from the following types of companies:
Home Health Agencies ~ Homemaker & Companion Agencies ~ Hospices
Adult Day Health Care Programs ~ Senior Centers ~ Senior Organizations
Senior Housing Facilities ~ Area Agencies on Aging ~ Senior Health Clinics
Wellness & Fitness Programs ~ Rehabilitation Services ~ Elder Law Attorneys
Mental Health & Counseling Providers ~ Reverse Mortgage Specialists
INFORMATION FOR VENDORS
Attendees are interested in learning what's new in services and products available to their elderly patients. This is your chance to build relationships as you share your expertise and educational materials with them. You will meet established and potential clients and referral sources in a friendly and receptive atmosphere where they anticipate hearing about your company, products, points of interest and services.
Space is limited. No walk-ins on the day of the event!
- The vendor fee includes catering. You no longer need to provide food and/or beverage, however, you can have candy or snacks on your table for the social workers if you like.
Set-up begins promptly at 4:30pm. Check-in at the registration table for your table assignment. Please DO NOT arrive before this time. We need time to arrange the space to our liking before vendors get there. You will have an assigned table.
- No free-standing or table-top displays! Just bring collaterals and educational materials. Please bring a tablecloth. Tables and chairs will be provided.
- How it works: When the Resource Fair begins, attendees will visit your booth, at which time you will give your spiel, and then put your initials next to your company name on their sign-off sheet.
- Door Prizes: These are non-promotional gifts worth $25 or more for the social workers to receive after they've finished talking to all the vendors. Examples would be a gift basket of wine and/or other goodies, a gift card worth $25 or more to a restaurant or store, etc. NOTE: You may put your business card or sticker on the door prize you bring, but a basket full of your company's promotional materials will NOT be accepted as a door prize. You can hand that stuff out at your table, but not as a door prize.
Please spread the word to as many social workers as you know in the Greater Baton Rouge area to ensure the success of the event!
