Event description

Description

Students transitioning from high school to university oftentimes encounter a certain set of challenges while trying to adapt to all the changes, expected or unexpected, in terms of lifestyle, learning style, academic challenges and more. Those challenges take various forms. One form can be illustrated between the ways of learning in high school and in university. While high school students generally tend to be more dependent on their teachers, university students are for the most part required to undertake independent learning instead of being dependent on lecturers. On top of this, there are many other things that fresh high school graduates and first-year students should be aware of, so that they can better adapt to university life and make the most out of it.

In the context of Cambodia specifically, such challenges can be categorized into four main groups including the differences in learning methods, volunteerism and social work, the possession of certain fundamental skills and some changes in lifestyle.
