Online sales platforms have been driving the growth of artisan businesses since the advent of eBay. But mastering this craft requires more than just putting your business online. In this workshop, Danielle Maveal, Etsy.com's Education Lead, will share her top tips for getting your product noticed in an online marketplace.
Although she's an Etsy expert, the same elements that make a successful Etsy seller work on most other platforms. We'll cover easy photography tips, pricing strategies, free ways to market yourself, finding your online support system, and building a strong fan base. She encourages you to also bring your questions about selling on Etsy!
Danielle Maveal, Etsy.com’s Education Lead, works to help artists, crafters and makers make a creative living selling their work. She shares tips on Etsy’s blog, in Etsy Success (a biweekly newsletter), and hosts live workshops through Etsy’s online classrooms. Danielle, also a goldsmith, started selling on Etsy four years ago and within six months sold over 1,000 unique pieces. Less than a year after opening her Etsy Shop, Etsy asked her to come work for the then small start up and she's been mentoring the community ever since. Her focus is to encourage, motivate, and educate anyone running a small, independent businesses.
