The Self-Sufficiency Calculator is a tool to assist financial coaches in empowering their clients to reach self-sufficiency by: 1) teaching them how to use the self-sufficiency calculator to access work supports; and 2) making more informed budget and life decisions based on accurate information about their circumstances.
This training will cover: (1) navigating the calculator to determine which benefits a client is eligible for, (2) determining the amount of income required for families to make ends meet as measured by the CA Self-Sufficiency Standard, (3) using the calculator to track a client’s progress against the Self-Sufficiency Standard, and (4) accessing online tools for completing and submitting benefits applications.
This is not to be confused with the Self-Sufficiency Standard and Self-Sufficiency calculator on the Insight CCED website. This training will benefit regional SparkPoint partners, Financial Coaches, Case Managers, and Councelors.
This event is only open to SparkPoint Staff and should not be forwarded on to others.
