Description

**Workshop will be held from 5pm to 8pm on February 6 and 13 totaling a two part, 6 hour workshop.

Inclusion is “not a place” and students are better able to get what they need in meaningful ways in the inclusive classroom, including highly effective and specialized supports for self-regulation. Participants will learn how their mindset can affect their interactions with students as well as learn about helpful tools, programs and systems to support student need. Establishing an inclusive foundation in your classroom will impact the way students care for each other and engage in rigorous and meaningful learning and work with each other.

Session Includes:

  • A transdisciplinary approach to embedding related services into the inclusive classroom

  • Zones of Regulation approach for social workers and occupational therapists to push-into the classroom

  • Sensory integration supports and routines in the classroom

  • Behavior plans, including identifying a need, making a plan, and monitoring and assessing change

  • Moving on docs


Who Should Attend:

This workshop is for teachers, learning specialists, social workers, and occupational therapists. School principals and special education coordinators can also attend to facilitate carry over of these practices in classrooms.
