About this Event

Our self-producing series, led by the TEAM’s Producing Director Alexandra Lalonde and industry guests, continues this winter about the business side of making and sustaining your work. Each two-hour session is a peer-to-peer discussion over drinks--your registration fee includes beer and wine provided by the TEAM.

Collaboration Agreements & Contract Basics

Tuesday, January 14

7-9pm

Registration: $30

ART/NY @ 520 Eighth Avenue in Manhattan, Studio B

TEAM Producing Director Alexandra Lalonde and ICM Partners' Di Glazer will lead a 2-hour peer-to-peer conversation about articulating and deciding ownership when creating new work collaboratively. Together, we'll look at template agreements and unpack the why and how of drafting your own. We'll also discuss your questions on other kinds of contracts for making and presenting your work, and working with an agent as an individual artist or ensemble.

To avoid fees, call 718-857-8326 to register over the phone.

ICM Partners is a leader in the field of legitimate theater and live stage entertainment. The theater department represents a diverse roster of accomplished writers, composers, directors, choreographers, and designers on Broadway, Off-Broadway and the West End, as well as for touring and resident productions across the country and around the world. ICM Partners represented properties such as “Jersey Boys” and “Legally Blonde” continue record-breaking runs globally, while the agency constantly fosters the creation of new plays and musicals. ICM Partners' Theater department also takes advantage of crossover opportunities with its publishing, motion picture and concerts departments. Stage properties such as “Dreamgirls” and "Chicago” are developed for the screen, while existing literary works, such as Joan Didion’s “The Year of Magical Thinking,” and films such as “Sister Act,” are successfully adapted for Broadway. Meanwhile, the agency continues to seek out diversified theatrical opportunities for its clients in new and emerging markets in live entertainment wherever they arise.
