Learn from the TEAM on touring your work nationally and internationally!

About this Event

Our self-producing series, led by the TEAM’s Producing Director Alexandra Lalonde and industry guests, continues this fall about the business side of making and sustaining your work. Each two-hour session is a peer-to-peer discussion over drinks--your registration fee includes beer and wine provided by the TEAM.

Touring Your Work

TEAM Producing Director Alexandra Lalonde and Producer Lucy Jackson will share 15 years of road-tested experience touring around the world. We'll discuss approaching presenters and venues, how to put together a tech rider, what to anticipate in a tour budget, and touring fees and box office splits.

Lucy Jackson is an independent performing arts producer originally from London, UK now working in New York City, USA. Lucy has produced new plays and interdisciplinary performances in New York at NYTW Next Door, the Bushwick Starr, 59E59 Theaters and The Play Company, as well as at the Ovalhouse, Bush and Finborough Theatres, Theatre503, and HighTide, Edinburgh Fringe, VAULT and Latitude festivals in the UK. As Producer for Los Angeles Performance Practice, productions include Andrew Schneider’s NERVOUS/SYSTEM (BAM Next Wave 2018) and the 2018 national tour of Okwui Okpokwasili’s Poor People’s TV Room. She was Producing Director for The Assembly (La MaMa ETC, Odyssey Theatre LA, JACK & The New Ohio), and General Manager/Associate Producer for the TEAM. Other tour producing includes Rachel Mars’ Our Carnal Hearts (Fusebox Festival, Austin / A.R.T. Oberon, Cambridge / On the Boards, Seattle / Melbourne & Brisbane Fringe Festivals) and the TEAM’s RoosevElvis (A.R.T. Oberon; UMS Ann Arbor). She is a 2018-2020 WP Lab Fellow, and co-teaches a course in non-profit Producing and Production Management at the New School. www.lsajackson.com
