Description

Self-Care Sunday: A Mini-Retreat to Soothe Your Soul, Clear Your Mind, and Nourish Your Body.

Join us on February 24, 2019, for a carefully curated mini-retreat of yoga, meditation, deep talks, and self-love. You'll enjoy four hours of ME time, perfectly planned to help inspire you to make self-care a non-negotiable in your daily life.

Whether you want to get re-connected to a self-care routine, enhance what you are already doing, or develop a whole new self-love mindset, this day is for you.

We will practice yoga, meditate, bathe ourselves in the magical music of crystal bowls, gather for an incredible panel on how self-care and self-love can and will change your life, and then meet with creative and talented vendors who cannot wait to share their gifts with you, from reiki and massage to handmade gifts and delicious treats!

Your Guides for the day will be Bridget Marie Riepl and Susan Favale.

Our panel includes three transformative women: Lisa Rachel Snyder, Lockey Mitten Maisonneuve, and Stephanie Moore.

Lisa Rachel Snyder is a New York-based Jivamukti Yoga teacher, mindfulness meditation teacher (Columbia Business School, Oath, HBC, L’Oreal), public speaker, writer, and creator of the Beautiful Badass Method: 7 Steps to a Healthy Relationship with Food, Your Body, and Yourself. Her mindfulness practices have profoundly transformed her health, both mentally and physically, so she teaches to share what she loves. Originally from Palo Alto and a graduate of Northwestern University, Lisa has traveled worldwide to study Yoga and meditation with master teachers, including Mooji Baba. She also loves astrology, excursions into the mountains, and Radiohead.

Lockey Maisonneuve is a certified yoga and meditation guide. She guides yoga and meditation classes for incarcerated men, individuals in drug and alcohol recovery, mental health patients and students in inner-city schools. Lockey’s unique experiences give her credibility to share mindfulness programs in these marginalized communities. As you read her memoir, A Girl Raised by Wolves, you will learn that Lockey is a survivor. She has survived neglectful, alcoholic parents, her father sold her into childhood prostitution and as an adult, she survived breast cancer and her mother’s murder. She uses her life‘s challenges and her sense of humor, to provide lessons to support others. Lockey provides insight from a victim's perspective and shares the tools and techniques she used along her healing journey. These tools are not only methods that could help the individual who is experiencing the trauma but also those that are advocating for those individuals. Lockey knows from first-hand experience that healing trauma is not a one-and-done event. In her classes and workshops, Maisonneuve incorporates her own experiences with managing flashbacks, triggers, anxiety, and rage as well as her jersey girl sarcasm and wry sense of humor to connect with her participants. The most important thing Lockey wants to share is; they didn’t break her. She is not only surviving, but thriving. Her goal is to help as many people as she can to start their healing so they too can thrive.

Stephanie Moore is a Reiki Master, with certifications in Reflexology, (both Traditional and Thai), Aromatherapy, Crystal Therapy, Three levels of Hot Stone Massage, Ion Foot Detox, Tapping, Gua Sha (meridian scraping) and Cupping. Stephanie's works daily with clients, guiding them through different levels of healing towards their own self-actualization and healing on mental, spiritual emotional and physical levels. In the words of one of her clients: "Working with Stephanie was a life-changing experience for me. I came to her feeling lost and stuck in the past and full of anger. After just a few coaching sessions and guided meditations, I was able to release my anger and move towards feelings of peace and happiness. I felt renewed and like I could conquer the world. I have seen so many changes not only in my personal relationships but at work as well. I feel balanced and focused, I haven't felt this way for a long time..."

The mini-retreat runs from 12 PM to 4 PM.
