Description

Dear Partners,

Welcome back from the holidays! Through data collected via our Partnerships for Social and Emotional Learning Initiative, we identified a need among program partners to discuss the implementation of social and emotional learning for ALL students- those with all learning styles, identities, and abilities. We hope you'll join us for this workshop open to all Boston Beyond program partners.

In this interactive workshop, you'll get to take a look under the hood of a curriculum targeted at students with dyslexia. You'll see how and why a particular intervention was developed and walk away with strategies to consider for your own differentiated instruction. Valerie Woxholdt, Director of Curriculum and Research, and Christian Henry, Chief Program Officer at NoticeAbility will be facilitating.

Facilitator Bios:

Valerie Woxholdt | Director of Curriculum and Research
Val creates NoticeAbility’s education content and investigates the impact of the curricula for teachers and students. Val holds degrees in education from Rutgers and Harvard, and is an alum of Teach for America. Prior to joining NoticeAbility she worked in the field of education as a teacher, instructional leader, and research associate.

Christian Henry | Chief Program Officer
Christian builds relationships to reach the wider population of students with dyslexia and meet their socio-emotional learning needs. He joined NoticeAbility having been a teacher, business officer, and fundraiser at the school he co-founded. He serves on the board of directors of both a life-long learning organization in Boston called Beacon Hill Seminars, and the non-profit Centre for Ocean Research & Education in The Bahamas.

These opportunities are made possible by the Partnerships for Social and Emotional Learning Initiative.
