About this event
The Overview
Produced by Fika Creative Group in alliance with The Bazaar 4 Good, the first annual runway show will benefit the Lotus House Women’s Shelter, and showcase curated looks put together through donated items from the Lotus House Thrift Chic Boutique, a partner of Lotus House, and vehicle for building grassroots support and raising public awareness to help end homelessness.
Curated Experience
Segunda Mano will be curated using pieces from the Lotus House thrift boutique, donated clothes and ethically sourced items. Mexican-American multi-media artist Danié Gómez-Ortigoza from @JourneyofaBraid who will be hosting this initiative and selecting the pieces for the exhibition.

Program
- Sustainable Market - The pop-up market will feature local small businesses and artisans that offer sustainable goods. 15% of all sales will be donated to the Lotus House organization. Vendors include Lotus House Thrift Store, Elbowroom, Half Asleep, Normou and Fachie Market.
- Silent Auction - A specially curated silent auction will take place throughout the event. Our amazing community and event partners will be donating items to this special cause. All funds collected will be donated to the Lotus House organization. Participating Partners include Museum of Art & Design, NoIssue, Chromat , Chela Swim, Vital Tonics, Half Asleep, O Miami, Calma Floral, Uma Ceramics, THesis Hotel Miami, Mamey, Krüs Kitchen, Hello Internet Furniture , Sana Skin Studio, Coral Gables Art Cinema, Miami Film Festival, Mimi Yoga, The Confidante, Puddle Pieces, Books & Books, Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science, Gaby Guzman, Valencia Re-Done, WeWork, BAGGU and Layla Restaurant.
- Sips & Bites - Libations provided by Veza Sur, Grapecrush Miami and Flor de Caña Rum. Organic iced tea by Drink Down To Earth and sparkling water from LaCroix. Enjoy mouth-watering treats provided by Carrot Express, Bolay and Bunnie Cakes!
- Activations - Debris Free Oceans will be popping up with a DIY tote bag station! Bring an old tee and repurpose it into a new bag. Compost for Life will be collecting all compostable items at the event and sharing all their knowledge on how to do it from home. Be sure to check out the beautiful arrangements from Zoom Blooms around the space!
- Fireside Chat - Before the show starts, join us for a fireside chat with special guests discussing sustainability, fashion and community involvement.

- Fashion Show - The best of the best thrifted pieces from the Lotus House Thrift Boutique, second hand items and ethically sourced outfits will be featured on the runway. Keep an eye out for the funky accessories provided by our friends at Normou and sustainable swimsuits from Chromat! Our diverse group of models will be showcasing how amazing summer and swimwear fashion can be found directly from your local thrift store and more. Clémentine Desseaux, Founder & CEO of @theallwomxnproject will be modeling along with women from the Lotus House Thrift shop and community volunteers.
- Artist and designer, Natasha Tomchin, will be curating the backdrop of the runway with her Flora Aurora installation. Debuted at Art Basel 2019, Prismatic Paradise is Natasha’s latest sculptural series inspired by the shapes and shadows of local flora. Based on actual leaf patterns and fabricated from dichroic film, acrylic and metal, these surreal monstera and palm trees cast prismatic-colored shadows different from the light they reflect.
Segunda Mano sounds provided by DJ VAKDEVI! This event is supported by the Miami Design District and PARAISO Miami Beach.
