SEG Fall 2020 Impact Accelerator Graduation + Pitch Night
Event Information
About this Event
Perseverance, resilience, optimism, adaptability, care for one another and our communities -- this year has asked a lot of all of us.
Throughout the curveballs and uncertainties of 2020, the entrepreneurs in SEG's social impact ecosystem have shown themselves to be a sustainable source of creative energy. On Wednesday, January 13, 2021, we have the delightful opportunity to introduce you to some of these remarkable people as our new cohort of 17 social ventures graduates from SEG's Fall 2020 Impact Accelerator!
At this festive Zoom event, you’ll have a front-row seat as our Accelerator participants pitch innovative products and services that address many of the most difficult and emerging social issues we face today.
You’ll hear about healthcare initiatives for older adults and new mothers, financial literacy and STEM education programs for children and youth, wraparound support for individuals with disabilities, a novel approach to permaculture, an artmaking space, a storytelling platform, and so much more. There’s even a surf therapy startup!
What to expect:
6:00-6:15 PM: Gathering, signing in, and welcome greetings from Kelly Ramirez, CEO of SEG, and Nellie Gorbea, Secretary of State of Rhode Island
6:15-6:30 PM: Hear from our guest speaker: Blaine Carroll, Vice President of Strategic Initiatives, Delta Dental
