The Gastonia/Shelby (NC) Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. presents the Seersucker and Sundresses: Verzuz Edition 2023.

Please join us at the Gastonia Conference Center 145 Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Way, Gastonia, NC 28052. This elegant, modern and contemporary venue is the cornerstone of the downtown Gastonia Revitalization Project, complementing the surrounding downtown architecture and style.

This signature summer event of the Gastonia/Shelby (NC) Alumni Kappas includes a dinner buffet featuring generous portions and a cash bar. As an added touch, we have partnered with a local cigar vendor-Howze The Smoke and designated a special space for those who want to indulge. The event will also include a Silent Auction.

This year's twist on the event will feature two of the area's top Nupe DJs, DJ Tramere and DJ ThoroNC battling head to head "old school" verzuz "new school". Spinning old school classics released before the year 2000, and new school hits after the year 2000. And what better way to keep the party jumping, we've also included national radio, television and voice of NBA Charlotte Hornets, Derrick "Fly Ty" Jacobs as the event host.

We encourage the ladies to come "chic" in your summer sundresses and the brothers in your "dapper" seersucker suits. Also, ditch the uncomfortable stilettos and hard bottoms for the night. Grab your most stylish sneakers and prepare to party the "NUPE" way!
