Join us Saturday, November 4th from 5-8pm at the Brooklyn Acupuncture Project for the Opening Reception of the international visionary art exhibit, Seeds of the Anaconda.

The NYC Seeds of the Anaconda at Brooklyn Acupuncture Project is a compilation of artwork from around the world that expresses the messages of transcendent states of consciousness and ancestral wisdom with the aim to move the world towards peace and living in balance with the Earth.

This exhibit includes original paintings and high quality prints from the Peruvian artists Moises Llerena, Juan Carlos Taminchi, Colombian artist Jeison Castillo, Japanese artist Yao, and US artists Madeline Lynch, Tim Davis and Manuela Reyes.

The Opening Reception will include herbal refreshments, interactive collaborative live painting, and a discussion from the curator regarding the artwork and the ancestral wisdom activation projects that Seeds of the Anaconda embodies around the world.

The Cause:

Through art we celebrate “unity within diversity, without hindering diversity within unity” - Blaikie, Road Man of the Native American Church. As an exercise, it is through these rich and diverse perspectives of all peoples that we can see the uniting thread of the universe expressed in color, symbols, love, and mythology.

This exhibit is a fundraiser for the 2017 Art Activation and Ancestral Wisdom gathering at the Yumake Ecolodge in Santa Marta, Colombia that will take place from December 9th - 16th. Because Sierra Nevada is considered to be on the heart meridian line of the Earth, this gathering aims to act as an energetic acupuncture point to activate the Seven Pillars of: Wisdom Exchange between Tribes and Cultures, Ecology, Community Building, Visual Arts, Music, Nutrition Awareness, and Healing Arts, for the betterment of the world.

Organized using the Kogi methodology of transformation and agreements, this gathering acts as an introduction and contact relationship building point between indigenous tribes of Colombia and forward thinkers of the modern world using workshops, dialogue, art making, ceremony and celebration. A community mural with be painted by visiting artists to leave the legacy of creativity and wisdom at this location for the generations to come.

This gathering acknowledges that indigenous people and modern minds have crucial tools and perspectives to share in order for the prophecy of Peace and Environmental Balance to arise in our lifetime. It is created in the name of protecting the sacred waters of our ourselves and the Earth. It is the second gathering in series leading to 2020 Saquenzipa.
