Event description

Description

We are excited to announce the continuation of last year's successful SEED program with community meetings to explore our identities and experiences.

In our continued effort to expand on elements of Palm Valley School's Mission, Values, and Strategic Plan: Vision 2020, we continue our partnership to The National SEED Project (www.nationalseedproject.org), a program dedicated to creating conversational communities to drive personal, organizational, and societal change toward greater equity and diversity.

SEED seminars are facilitated by teachers and school staff who have been trained as SEED leaders. These leaders do not lecture. Instead, they will lead you in experiential, interactive activities and conversations often stimulated by films and readings. Through personal reflection and testimony, listening to others' voices, and learning experientially and collectively, SEED equips us to connect our lives to one another and to society at large by acknowledging systems of oppression, power, and privilege—and challenges us to push for change. SEED values your voice so you can, in turn, better value the voices of your students and children.

Kenton Buck and Zac Hewitt will be facilitating the seminars, and a light dinner will be served!
