Friends Who Are Going
Event description

Want to see Sedona in all its glory? Nothing is more beautiful than this small town with its red rocks and new age vibe! This class is open to all levels but I love teaching and helping people new to the craft. So if you got your first camera, FEAR NOT! I will love to get you rolling to make masterpieces to put on your wall. We will hike the Red Rock Crossing Trail to Cathedral Rock and watch the sun go down. Doe Mountain will be another of our destinations. Sugerloaf Trail will provide us with a wonderful landscape opportunity. Try your hand at infrared photography during the bright daylight hours. Be prepared to hike for short sessions with a backpack. One overnight camping session will be available to those who would like to hang around the fire at night as the weather permits,(might be cold for some). We don't get up to early as to allow us the proper rest to get ready for our adventures but we will be meeting early afternoon to go over what we shot the night before and plan our day. Snacks and water are included during workshop hours.

What will you learn from this class? By the time you go home you will understand your F-stops/Shutter speeds and how to control them. Why do we use certain ISOs? Composition to portray the feeling you want in your images and how to use and break the rules. What filters are best for landscapes? How to get that "Frothy" look to your water images. How to do infrared and how to work with the files in Lightroom and Photoshop. A chance to try your hand at shooting the night sky, (Weather Permitting) , and what equipment is best for landscapes.

I only bring out 10 or less students so make sure you sign on early!

What is not included: Lodging, airfare, and transportation to meeting areas are up to you. Travel to the destinations for photography will be provided.

Meals: You will be responsible for your own meals. On the trail I will provide sandwiches, light snacks and water that will be handed out before we leave. If you need anything special because dietary needs, you are responsible for your own food needs.

Photoshop, Lightroom, RAW conversion and general post-processing instruction time will be available every afternoon, make sure you have the programs loaded on to your laptop. Adobe has free trials that last for one month, so load it up and be ready to learn some basics.
