About this Event

The class will meet over the course of 5 Saturdays. The final class session will either be on the 30 November or 07 December, depending on class suggestion. The 30th will be the weekend after the US Thanksgiving holiday.

A Zoom link will be sent out to all attendees, and attendance will be taken prior to start of class. Certificates of completion will be given

These sessions will NOT be recorded. Ideally, we'd like to be able to give these classes again in the future. So we will not be recording these sessions. We are discussing with a lawyer about the legality and privacy, as using Zoom does disclose people's names, and student's voices, etc. If we do release video, it will most likely be separate with just the instructor.

If you cannot make the session, no worries! You can email us if you're going to miss a session, and we can either fill you in, or discuss on the Slack Channel.

Topics to be discussed, with labs for each topic:

1. Vulnerable Components

2. SQL Injection

3. Weak password storage

4. Broken Authentication

5. Broken De-authentication

6. Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF)

7. Cross-Site Scripting (XSS)

8. Broken Access Control

9. XML External Entities (XXE)

10. Sensitive Data Exposure
