Description

Sunday October 29th, the Secret League, in conjunction with various groups from the Inland Empire and the mastermind who built the Pokemon Go Discord groups for the Inland Empire and Orange County, proudly present the very first Inland Empire Pokemon Go Secret League tournament at Buena Vista Park in the City of Corona.

Here at the Secret League, we enjoy giving back to those charities and individuals that have an impact in the community that they serve. Whether from helping families with housing, clothes, and meals who were affected by the hurricanes in Florida and Texas or with providing shelter and food for stray dogs and cats affected by the hurricanes.

We now turn to the community that the Secret League serves directly, the Pokemon Go community here in Southern California. The mastermind behind the Discord feeds that first originated from Corona first started the Discord feed from scratch. After spending countless hours of learning and modifying the code, testing algorithms, and upgrading his existing hardware, he was finally able to establish a reliable feed that notified users of high priority spawns. He later took his knowledge and applied it across numerous Southern California counties for other trainers to benefit off of their own city’s Discord feed without mandating a high fee other than to send any donations to help keep the Discord feed properly maintained and running.

For giving other Pokemon trainers the chance to expand their Pokedex with ultra rare Pokemon and 100% IV Pokemon, the Secret League is happy to donate 10% of the registration fees to Robert Ramirez to continue maintaining and growing the Discord feeds in Corona, Rancho Cucamonga, Glendora, Cerritos, Cypress and various other cities.

As far as the Secret League Tournament goes, please read the descriptions carefully. Secret League run tournaments vastly differently from others. Be prepared to utilize your Pokedex.

::Tournament Team Raid Setup::

Trainers from Team Mystic, Team Valor, and Team Instinct will be assigned into equally balanced teams based on their trainer level regardless of team color. (Plus minus 1 trainer level)

2 nearby Entei legendary raid bosses will be chosen for the tournament.

Before the first Entei raid begins, a single Pokemon that is commonly used against Entei will be randomly picked from a hat and banned from use for the rest of Secret League tournament.

Before the start of the second Entei raid, a Pokemon type that is commonly used against Entei will be randomly picked from a hat and banned from use for the final battle. This "Pokemon type" ban refers to a Pokemon classification of being either normal, water, ground, rock, dark, electric, or a combination of the two.

Secret League referees will be walking around monitoring each team's boss raid battles from beginning to end for finishing time, battling conditions, and to ensure fairness.

::Scoring::

Towards the end of each team's Entei raid battle, the finishing animation time will be recorded.

A time bonus of 1 second will be awarded to teams who are able to catch Entei. Each Entei caught must be verified by a Secret League referee presiding over the raid battle which will be done after all trainers from the team have attempted to catch the Pokemon.

A time penalty of 5 second will be given to teams who use ANY banned Pokemon during the boss raid battles. The trainer found using the banned Pokemon will be asked by a Secret League referee to return to the raid lobby to switch out the banned Pokemon and to use an appropriate Pokemon, causing 1 less trainer inflicting damage during the battle which will lead to a slower boss raid beat time for their team.

After both Entei raid battles have been completed by all participating teams, the total time from the two boss raid battles, including time bonuses and time penalties, will be calculated to determine the overall average time.

The winning team will be determined by calculating the highest overall average time.

And what does each trainer on the 1st place team win for their hard fought victory over the other teams?

All 8 badges from the Kanto region in a Pokemon themed display box.
