Do you want to plant a buttefly garden? Join us at Miami Beach Botanical Garden for this educational seminar as we welcome UF/IFAS Extension Service Miami-Dade County- Florida Yards & Neighborhoods Program for a presentation of pollinators.

Second Saturday Horticulture Seminars at the Garden are free, and all are welcome.

"Join us as we explore the beautiful and fascinating world of South Florida's pollinators. We will take a special look at the 39 imperiled butterflies of South Florida, and how we can protect and preserve our pollinators through proper plant selection and Florida-Friendly Landscaping practices."

"The Florida Yards & Neighborhoods (FYN) program provides education on the 9 Florida Friendly Landscaping™ principles throughout Miami-Dade County to homeowners, landscape maintenance firms, municipalities, and other groups. We partner with Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department to educate residents on water conservation in the landscape through workshops, outreach, presentations, and an irrigation rebate program."


The mission of Miami Beach Botanical Garden is to promote environmental enjoyment, stewardship and sustainabiltiy through education, the arts, and internation with the natural world. Our garden is a unique, subtropical oasis of beautfy and tranquility witin an urban setting--a community resource that refreshes and engages our visitors. Please approach the Garden at Meridian Avenue and 19th St. due to the CONSTRUCTION on Convention Center, Drive. Convention Center Drive is partially closed. Parking is available on at the municipal parking lots of 17th St. Please arrive early and allow yourself time for parking. See attached map for details. Thank you.
