Event description

Description

If you're like many of our clients, you are smart, successful, and really, really hard on yourself. Self-criticism comes naturally to many of us, whether we learned it in our families or figured it out ourselves as a way to stay motivated and moving forward. But you've probably noticed that harsh self-criticism also has some unintended side-effects, like tanking your self-esteem or making it harder to take risks for fear of failure.

Here's the good news: There's another way.

Cultivating self-compassion doesn't only make us healthier and happier, it also helps motivate us to keep growing and improving where self-criticism fails. In this hour-long workshop, Dr. Alexis Lopez will help you figure out how to shift from a self-critical to a self-compassionate mindset so that you can thrive AND reach your goals.

Second Fridays at Stella Nova

Every second Friday of the month, Stella Nova hosts a brown bag lunch for women and non-binary professionals on a variety of topics. It's an informal chance for quick, interesting small group workshop or discussion with a Stella Nova therapist. And it's always 100% free.

Women of color & LGBTQ+ folks are always enthusiastically welcomed in our space.

Join us for our next event Friday, November 11, 2019. Our event is free, but tickets are required so that we can maintain an intimate, small group discussion. Bring your lunch or snack and come chat with us!
