Event description

Description

Join us for The 2nd Annual Spay & Neuter Fundraiser & Pawty

It's "Going to the Dogs (and Cats Too)!

Please join us for dinner catered by Lorie Bomar's Atlanta's Finest Catering and musical entertainment by The Famous Mike Brookshire and his band. The Douglas County Humane Society is cohosting this event with the hopes that one day every dog and cat in Douglas County will be spayed or neutered! Spaying and neutering helps decrease homeless pet populations and therefore means fewer dogs and cats at the shelter. Our goal would be to have every adopted animal coming out of Douglas County Animal Services to be spayed and neutered upon adoption. Also, if you are a Douglas County resident and cannot afford to pay to have your pet fixed, the Douglas County Humane Society can help!

To donate an item(s) for the silent auction: please drop off items at the Douglas County Courthouse by April 1st at 8700 Hospital Drive, Douglasville, GA 30134 - 3rd floor Commissioners board room. If you would like the item to be picked up, please contact the Douglas County Humane Society at 678-838-9123. Gift certificates for services are welcomed!

For sponsorship information: contact Mike Mulcare at electmike@bellsouth.net or 770-920-7266 or 770-920-9366. Many levels available, as low as $100 for small businesses!

With the money raised, one of our main goals will be to offer a FREE spay/neuter to all adopted animals from Douglas County Animal Shelter. Every $50 raised will keep one of these rescued dogs and cats from reproducing and adding to the homeless pet population! We also hope to assist low income families who can't afford to get their pet fixed.
